School District Committees and School Site Councils
I currently serve on the LCAP Steering Committee (Local Control and Accountability Plan), which advises the school district on its educational programs and support strategies for at-risk students. I have also served on the District's Budget Advisory Committee, Parent Advisory Committee, and School Site Councils at three AUSD campuses.
PTA/PTSA
Parent Teacher Student Association
I held a Board office nearly every year my daughters were in school, serving as President, Treasurer, Secretary, Auditor, Vice President of Membership, and Event Chair. I am currently the Unit Information Officer for 24th District PTA, the Board that oversees and supports all PTA/PTSA units in San Luis Obispo County.
Atascadero High School Boosters Committees
​​I served as Secretary for Drama Boosters (2020-2021), President of Choir Boosters (2023-2024), and Treasurer for Grad Nite Committee twice (2020-2021 and 2023-2024) at Atascadero High School.
CAPS - Committee for Atascadero Public Schools
CAPS is a nonprofit organization that provides grants to AUSD teachers to enrich the education provided to our public school students. I have been on the Board of CAPS as Treasurer since 2018 and, previously, as an auction/event volunteer. In 2022, I became a founding Director of CAPS when it pursued its own nonprofit designation.
Bookkeeper
I work part-time as an accounting/administrative assistant to the Controller of Ancient Peaks Winery and provide bookkeeping assistance to an independent/professional bookkeeper. Prior to this, I managed accounting duties for my parents' business for six years.
Paralegal
I worked as a Paralegal and Office Manager in the San Luis Obispo law firm of Keppleman & Associates from 1990 until 1998. I have since been self-employed as a freelance paralegal.
